Contrary to popular belief, vaginal yeast infection/thrush medication can be purchased over-the-counter in Japan.

However, you will need to fill out and print or show the completed digital check sheet to the pharmacist or head medication salesperson at your local drug store. These medications are typically kept behind the counter, but can sometimes be found on regular shelves. You will likely need to ask for it.
